Speak Your Truth presents LOL Heals

Brooklyn, NY- (March 28, 2014) Speak Your Truth is proud to announce an evening of comedy with a taste of art exhibit. Speak Your Truth supports organ donation awareness in honor of Christina Thomas who is in need of a kidney transplant. LOL HEALS will feature the art of Christina Thomas, Jessica Glick and Josh Lucas. The healing comedy will be performed by Liam McEneaney and Christine Boudreau. There will be Spoken Word performances by Shye Sales and Danielle Cooper. LOL HEALS is a fundraising event to defray the costs that are associated with being listed in multiple regions for a kidney. Primarily travel, lodging and food. All art work will be sold for a $500 and under.

The event will take place at Standard ToyKraft, 722 Metropolitan Avenue, Brooklyn, NY on March 28, 2014. Music lovers wanted! Speak Your Truth is looking for artists to be apart of a group show that honors music in all its forms. Speak Your Truth is proud to announce its second art exhibit And Still I Rise, Speak Your Truth supports artists that have overcome adversity. And Still I Rise will feature the art of  Christina Thomas, Jae Quinlan and Sagine Cave’. There will be Spoken Word performances by Shye Sales and Danielle Cooper.  And Still I Rise is about the warrior women we must become when faced with obstacles and how we meet those challenges. This art is dedicated to all the women and men who are in the daily struggle of living a day at a time. Speak Your Truth / Affordable Art For The Soul represents artists that have experienced adversity and gives them a voice. All art work wll be sold for a $1000 and under.  The event will take place at The Artisan Collective, 25 Halsey St, lower in Newark, NJ on December 14th. Admission is a $10.00 with refreshments. It will run from 6:30pm to 9:30pm.

GRAND SALON SHOW at the Greenpoint Gallery

Christina Thomas, co-founder of Speak Your Truth is going to be showing her art work on Friday, May 10th starting at 8 PM for an one-day show. She is showing her work at the Greenpoint Gallery located at 390 McGuinness Blvd in Brooklyn, NY. You can take the 7 train to Vernon Blvd – Jackson Ave or take the G train to Greenpoint Ave. She will have up to 5 works for sale.

Press Release: Speak Your Truth Presents Journey Beyond Your Limits on May 4th

Speak Your Truth is proud to announce its first fundraising event,Journey Beyond Your Limits, an art exhibit and benefit. Speak Your Truth supports artists that have overcome adversity. Journey Beyond Your Limits will feature the art of  Christina Thomas, Jae Quinlan and Sagine Cave’. There will be Spoken Word performances by Shye Sales, Amber Atiya and Mewz. Proceeds will be donated to agencies that support victims of sexual assault and aid in sexual assault awareness. These services had a direct impact on Christina Thomas, the co founder of Speak Your Truth. As a survivor of sexual assault these services were invaluable in her recovery process. Journey Beyond Your Limits is about finding your voice among difficult circumstances and moving beyond your limits. This show is a declaration to speak your truth. Speak Your Truth / Affordable Art For The Soul represents artists that have experienced adversity and gives them a voice. All art work wll be sold for a $1000 and under.

The event will take place at The Klimat Lounge, 77 East 7th Street in New York City on May 4th. Admission is a $20.00 donation. The benefit will run from 7pm to 10pm.   The proceeds are going to New York City Alliance Against Sexual Assault and Victims Assistance Services, a component program of Westchester Community Opportunity Program, Inc.
